LONDON', standing breech marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT 122', shallow fenced with shell engraving to the pin platforms, scroll engraved top-lever and surround also marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT', borderline and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', scroll engraved dolphin headed hammers, walnut butt-stock chequered at the wrist and fitted with iron toe and heel-plates, the exposed wood between also chequered, iron tang and trigger guard bow, chequered splinter fore-end held by a single cross key and with concealed crab-claw joint chipped) and moulded finial to fore-end tip
